“Leave it to students to understand the importance of a backpack.”
Formed on three pillars
-
Through facilitating the bag drives, the service pillar collaborates directly with shelters and other organizations to achieve the primary goal of alleviating poverty.
-
The advocacy pillar focuses on establishing policies and hosting campaigns to reduce youth homelessness and combat stigma.
-
The education pillar is responsible for educating the general public about the effects of youth homelessness and how society can effectively address this issue.
Completely student operated
In September 2021, we assembled a team of post-secondary students who have been instrumental in building our organization and laying the groundwork for Bags of Promise's future.
Each individual has demonstrated a commitment to achieving our shared objective of alleviating poverty among homeless youth.
